Hi!

Read echelons guide.
With a faster line it is better to setup more tunnels.

Oneswarm if a F2F extension of bittorrent.

In fact it's the contrary of imule. It takes an existeinh client and network and put an anonimous layer/network over it.
The downloads/uploads are made throught friends you know their IP, but those friends (limited option enables by default) do not see what you download, do not have acces to your shares. They are used as VPN tunnels to access other people, their friends. There is a system of friends server, called community servers that can be accessed with passwords etc.

I have maximum data exchange of my connexion with 1S, much like bittorrent.
Fact is it should be about one half or less of it but the security provided encourages people to live their shares and this makes it as fast as bittorrent in many situations.
On the contrary of bittorrent there is a global file search.

There aren't clearly enough people in 1S community to have the same file amount as in emule community for instance so this is okay but not great. With time maybe if 1S wins.
However, I think it's time to quit i2p stuff for file sharing because 1S principle is way better in all regards.

HI!

I read the word friends again.
How are you sure your "friends" are not bad guys?

As long as you do illegal jobs there are NO friends out there.

then why does nobody implement a version of OneSwarm, that connects to total strangers, like i2p does?
Then all would be happy, even Amiga4000, as there would be no more "friends", since you cannot trust them anyway.

Well amiga4000, the friends are not real friends of course.
Fact is we know that. However we can focus on their IP and find out who they are to some extent (country, ISP... police, govt).
Now those friends are only used as encrypted proxys. They don't know what they pass through. If you create false networks in the back of one's friends you may have to do that for all his friends to really know what is happenning. So being able to list your friends and limit your connexion to them is good.
Now it has been implemented a whole server system of friends so there are plenty of ways to make friends. You can work with automatic friendship through those servers. This is less secured since you may not know in detail who you connect to but as far as there are plenty of "good" friends, bad friends are incapacitated.

Of course since I posted last time there are many more people and files shared on 1S who is becoming some kind of prime p2p network.
