The other day came across a forum post about how to make I2P portable. Decided to try my hand at making a portable I2P suite. Today it is ready for public testing (need to see if there are any issues I may have missed).
All software is current as of yesterday when I downloaded it all.

Current Version: v1 (basically a test version)

OS Tested: Windows XP
Instructions: Decompress, navigate into the folder portablei2p and copy everything to the root of your USB thumb drive. You can also use this suite on the hard drive anywhere.
Feel free to setup mirrors (other file hosting sites, eepsites, torrents, etc).

Bug 1: i2phex doesn't store settings with i2phex.
Solution: Edit run.bat and change
start javaw %JAVAOPTS% -jar lib\phex.jar
to
start javaw %JAVAOPTS% -jar lib\phex.jar -c appdata
then create the folder appdata within the i2phex directory
then use the batch to exe program that's located at
portablei2p\PortableApps\i2p\launcher stuff
to compile the run.bat into a new exe |

It looks like it needs to be updated, if Eh doesn't show soon I may try an update. If someone else here (with a reputation) can update that would probably be better. |
